River Forest Dutch Colonial
-
We gave this beautiful Dutch colonial, located on a tree-lined street in River Forest, a major overhaul with a complete space reconfiguration of the entire home.
-
Using new floor plans, we developed the interior design of the kitchen, mudroom/pantry, powder room, primary suite, and secondary bathroom.
-
British design influences, along with the homeowner’s traditional style, guided us toward creating spaces that feel timeless and inviting.
-
Just off the kitchen, a custom pantry offers tons of storage.
-
The mudroom features reclaimed Chicago brick flooring, and the powder room is a standout space, including a countertop made from reclaimed train car flooring.
-
Sumptuous natural light and a detailed coffered ceiling lend elegance to the dining room.
-
The elegance continues into the powder room, which is tucked neatly away.
-
The generous secondary bath features double sinks…
-
… as well as custom linen storage, a gorgeously marble-tiled shower, and a bench.
-
Meanwhile, wood, marble, and silver accents provide warmth in the primary bath.
-
Which includes a generously sized soaking tub.
-
We consider the entire space, including things like crown-moulding-topped mirrors, to complete the look.
