Quartersawn Oak Craftsman Kitchen

This spectacular EE Roberts home was in dire need of a kitchen that connected with the original design of the home.
A complete reconfiguration of the kitchen included removing a second staircase to the second floor so that an island could be incorporated into the design. A conscious decision was made to keep and work with the existing architecture of the windows.
An induction range and custom hood fit perfectly between the two existing windows. New quartz window sills were added for ease of clean-up.
Custom inset quarter-sawn oak cabinetry surrounds the kitchen and matches the woodwork throughout the home.
A bar area features gorgeous locally-made stained glass panels, designed to mimic the original living room stained glass. A new bar sink gives easy access to the adjacent coffee area.
Matte-finish handmade ceramic tile pairs beautifully with warm quartz counters, textural wood, and antique brass hardware.
A small bench seat conceals a radiator and offers a place to load groceries or put on your shoes.
Making use of every last bit of space by fitting the bar area carefully next to the existing window and carving out a special place for morning coffee.
No photoshoot is complete until the furry companion makes an appearance in his bowtie.
